A riff on consciousness and hope

My valence on climate change is pretty dissonant most days. I love to watch the cloud show in the sky above my garden. But my delight can turn quickly to despair when I think that clouds may someday be gone due to climate change. While I’ve modified my life to reduce my carbon footprint, I know that my efforts alone will not stop the difficult reality of a changing climate and some days I have to grapple with despair.

Living and building a future with the stark knowledge that the world is changing in ways we are only beginning to fathom is a process, a journey. You are invited to join me. No guarantees. No simple fixes. Just complexity, community and, if we’re lucky, hope.
